User needs to confirm Accredited Investor status to purchase security tokens.
In Singapore, Accredited Investor is defined in Section 4A(1)(a) of the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Chapter 289.[10]
Requirements
Individuals who meet one of the following must OPT IN and cannot automatically be treated as such:
- $2 million net personal assets (primary residence may only account for $1M of the $2M threshold); OR
- $1 million of financial assets (net of any related liabilities)
- Income in the proceeding 12 months is not less than $300,000 (or its equivalent in a foreign currency)
Document requirements
Property title deed, property valuation report less than 6 months old from recognized valuers, last 12 months' original computerized salary slip, last Notice of Assessment, last 12 months' CPF contribution statement.
Entity Requirements
A corporation that meets the following may be treated as an AI if the corporation has net assets exceeding $10 million in value (or its equivalent in a foreign currency).
Document requirements
The most recent audited balance sheet of the corporation, or where the corporation is not required to prepare audited accounts regularly, a balance sheet of the corporation certified by the corporation as giving a true and fair review of the state of affairs of the corporation as of the date of the balance sheet, which shall be within the preceding 12 months
